Last weekend Restoring Health was at Leeds Castle overseeing the Post-Event Massage Tent for the Pink Ribbonwalk to raise money for Breast Cancer Care UK. Thanks to our team of volunteers, we were able to provide free massage to the well-deserving walkers, who had walked between 5 and 20 miles that day.
We entered everyone who had a massage into a free prize draw, and we’re excited to announce the winners today! Please see below for a list of the prizes and their corresponding winners:

|One of Restoring Heath’s good friends Christopher Williams is about to undertake one of the hardest mountain races in the World – The Dragon’s Back Race™The legendary Dragon’s Back Race™ follows the mountainous spine of Wales from Conwy Castle to Carreg Cennen Castle in Wales. This incredible 5-day journey is approximately 300 kilometres long with 16,000 metres of ascent across wild, trackless, remote and mountainous terrain. It is not a trail race.
It takes place from the 22nd-26th June 2015.
|We managed to catch up with him before he left for a quick chat:
|Why are you so eager to go do this race?
I have always enjoyed the great outdoors and have in recent years done quite well in military style test march races such as The Fan Dance. However looking for something new and a desire to step it up a gear, combined with hearing about The Dragon’s Back Race’s return, I was inspired to take on this new challenge. What are you most looking forward to?
I am really looking forward to enjoying the journey down through the mountainous spine of Wales, as that is where I was brought up and lived for the first 27 years of my life. I look forward to taking in those remote parts that ‘tourists’ never see and getting away from it all for five days.
How has Restoring Health helped you to prepare for the journey ahead?
Looking forward to this challenge I am very aware of how others have played a very important role in getting me to the start line, let alone the finishing one!
Deborah and her very capable team have really helped me to overcome niggles that could have become road blocks and without a doubt have been integral in giving me the results needed to qualify and on top of that gain the confidence to get to the place where I am today.
Mountains ahoy! Thank you Restoring Health!
If you are interested in following Chris’ Journey minute by minute over the five days – all the competitors are fitted with Live Trackers which will allow you to follow their progress on The Dragon’s Back website HERE.
Simply click on his name and his current position will be displayed.
We will be watching Chris with bated breath, wishing him all the best on this incredibly exciting journey! We can’t wait to hear all the stories when he returns.

If you have a group of friends or colleagues who might be interested in trying out our massage treatments or finding out more about Restoring Health, why not invite us to your home, sports centre or workplace to hold a pop up clinic?
As the host, you will receive a free 30 minute massage at one of our clinics, plus an additional 5 minutes free massage for every guest that books into the clinic for a free Initial Assessment. This means you’ll potentially be getting a free 60 minute massage, so it’s worth your while to invite guests who are really keen!
We’ve run pop up clinics at a number of venues this year, including Hendricks of Hythe (chocolaterie), The Mote Park Indoor Bowls Club and Pegasus Sports Centre. It’s a great way to introduce people to Soft Tissue Therapy in an informal and convenient way, and it won’t cost you a penny!
Typically a pop up clinic would last 2 and a half hours, and in this time we can provide six free 20 minute massage sessions. Each pop up clinic is tailored to the clients’ needs depending on your requirements. Our pop up clinics are absolutely free, and are a great way to show people you care, especially your sports team or employees.
If you’re interested in hosting a pop up clinic or would like to know more information, please give Deborah a call on 07885548594 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
